Domestic cosmetics brands have deeply
integrated "national trend" elements into silicone elastomer product
designs, such as combining traditional cloud and blue-and-white porcelain
patterns with matte textures to create highly distinctive visual and tactile
experiences. These innovations not only enhance cultural premiums but also
enable overseas expansion through short-video e-commerce and social marketing.
According to the "2025 China Silicone Materials Market Competition Strategy Report," domestic companies have successfully attracted Gen Z consumers by combining the functional properties of elastomers (e.g., anti-static, weather resistance) with Eastern aesthetics through cross-border collaborations and IP partnerships. For example, a brand's "Dunhuang Series" powder, featuring a matte elastomer texture blended with mural patterns, sold over a million units in its first month.
However, the high-end market remains dominated by international giants, and domestic companies need to enhance their technological capabilities and brand-building efforts to gradually penetrate this segment. For instance, a Guangdong-based company has developed a "medical-grade silicone gel" that has passed clinical trials for scar repair and implant coatings, with a potential market size exceeding 5 billion yuan.
In the future, as "national trend" culture gains global traction, domestic silicone elastomers are expected to capture a larger share of the international market.
