MQ silicone resin is a compact spherical substance with a double-layer, three-dimensional cage structure composed of monofunctional siloxane units (R3SiO1/2, referred to as M units) and tetrafunctional siloxane units (SiO4/2, referred to as Q units). MQ silicone resin has properties that are difficult for general resins to achieve, such as high temperature resistance, water repellency and chemical resistance. It also has excellent electrical insulation properties, mechanical properties, excellent heat resistance, weather resistance, flexibility, film-forming properties and adhesion, making it widely used in cosmetics, electronics, electrical appliances, motors, automobiles, aviation, construction and medical and health fields. It is mainly used as a filler and tackifier for silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives, a reinforcing filler for addition-type liquid silicone rubber, and various products such as electrical insulating paints, laminates, molding compounds, moisture-proof agents, defoamers and release agents made with MQ silicone resin as the base material.
