4. Method for preparing polyether-modified silicone oil by fatty acid and allyl alcohol epoxy-terminated polyether
This method first reacts fatty acid with allyl alcohol epoxy-terminated polyether at 120-150°C for 2-5 hours. After the reaction is completed, the temperature is adjusted to 90-130°C, and a catalyst is added under condensation reflux conditions, followed by dropwise addition of hydrogenated silicone oil, and the reaction continues for 3-12 hours. Finally, the solvent is removed by a condensation recovery device to obtain polyether-modified silicone oil.

This method can effectively control the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of polyether-modified silicone oil by adjusting the ratio of lipophilic groups, and is particularly suitable for formulation systems such as coatings to promote wetting and dispersion between lipophilic substances and hydrophilic substances.
