On March 25, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications held a new semester work conference to summarize all the work of the University in 2019 and comprehensively deploy the key tasks in 2020.
The meeting was held in the way of combination of on-site meeting and video conference. All school leaders attended the meeting in the main venue, the main responsible comrades of the party and government functional departments attended the meeting in the branch venue, and the main responsible comrades of the party and government of each college (Research Institute) attended the video conference. The meeting was presided over by Wu Jianwei, Secretary of the Party committee of the University.
First of all, President Qiao Jianyong made a school work report on behalf of the leading group, comprehensively summarized the achievements of school work in 2019, clearly put forward the main tasks in 2020, and put forward the requirements for good implementation. Qiao Jianyong pointed out that in 2019, the university has achieved new breakthroughs in three aspects: the construction of teaching staff, the improvement of scientific research strength, and the deepening of comprehensive reform, including Party building and ideological and political work, teaching and talent training work, discipline construction and layout, improvement of top-level design, foreign cooperation and communication and social services, strengthening internal control and scientific management, benefiting teachers and students, and service guarantee New progress has been made. On behalf of the school, Qiao expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the teachers and students who have worked hard for the reform, development and stability of Beijing post in the past year.
In the deployment of the 13 key tasks to be promoted in 2020, Qiao Jianyong put forward the requirements for doing well in the whole year with four theme words:

Qiao Jianyong stressed that the opening of the working conference in the new term marks the school's work rhythm entering a new stage. In his concluding speech, Wu Jianwei, Secretary of the Party committee of the University, pointed out that 2020 is an important year of great significance.
