Polydimethylsiloxane, commonly known as dimethyl silicone oil, is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic and non-irritating product. It is a silicone compound with chemical stability, heat resistance, cold resistance, hydrophobicity, lubricity, high refractive index, storage stability and compatibility with long-term cosmetic components. According to its use requirements and characteristics, it is generally used in cosmetics from these three characteristics.
First, its low surface tension, good lubrication effect on the skin, combined with appropriate viscosity, makes other components of cosmetics easy to disperse and expand into a thin film on the skin. At the same time, its detackifying property can be combined with vaseline, paraffin, beeswax, lanolin, etc. to obtain non-sticky products.
