The application of silicone oil in the field of color cosmetics is too extensive, or to give an example is the most practical.
If we look for a liquid foundation, we can find that the main ingredients are basically silicone oil, and the several functions of silicone oil just mentioned are all reflected in this formula:
Cyclopentamerized dimethylsiloxane: commonly known as D5, silicone oil with volatile properties, good skin feeling, conducive to quick drying
Trimethylsiloxysilicate: silicone oil film forming agent, which is beneficial to fix makeup on the face, waterproof and sweat-resistant
PEG/PPG-18/18 polydimethylsiloxane: silicone oil emulsifier, used to mix silicone oil and water
Polymethylsiloxane: It is generally used to treat various colorful powders in makeup to make them more soluble in silicone oil
