Surfactants can be divided into four types: cationic, anionic, nonionic and zwitterionic according to their hydrophilic groups. Silicone surfactants can also be classified in this way. The hydrophobic group of silicone surfactants is composed of Alkylsiloxanes, which are more hydrophobic than carbon chains, have stronger surface activity than carbon chains, and have a lower surface tension in a solution of the same concentration.
